Verse 101
दिद्विशुर्दुद्युवुश्चच्छुश्चक्लमुः सुषुपुर्हताः । चखादिरे चखादुश्च विलेपुश्च रणे भटाः ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: In the battle, warriors hated, confronted, battered (mutually), fainted and lay down (as if) killed. They were up (again) and they ate and bewailed.

Verse 102
प्रहस्तस्य पुरो-मात्यान्जिहिंसुर्दधृषुस्तथा । वानराः कर्म सेनानी रक्षसां चक्षमे ने तत् ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: In front of Prahasta the monkeys killed and also overpowered the ministers; the commander of the demons did not brook that action.

Verse 103
ऊर्णुनाव स शस्त्रौघैर्वानराणामनीकिनीम् । शशास च बहून्योधान्जीवितेन विवेच च ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: He covered up the monkey army with streams of weapons and struck many warriors and deprived them of life;

Verse 104
आससञ्ज भयं तेषां दिद्युते च यथा रविः । नाऽऽययास द्विषद्-देहैर्जगाहे च दिशो दश ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: -(he) instilled fear into them and shone forth like the sun; (he) was not exhausted and penetrated the ten quarters with the enemies' bodies.

Verse 105
केचित्संचुकुटुर्भीता लेजिरेऽन्ये पराजिताः । संग्रामाद्बभ्रशुः केचिद्ययाचुश्चाऽपरेऽभयम् ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: Frightened, some contracted (or curled up); being defeated, others felt ashamed; some slipped away from the battle; others begged for safety.

Verse 106
एवं विजिग्ये तां सेनां प्रहस्तोऽतिददर्प च । शशाम न च संक्रुद्धो निर्जुगोप निशाचरान् ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: Thus Prahasta vanquished that army and was excessively delighted ; and (once) enraged, he did not calm down and protected the demons.

Verse 107
चुक्रुधे तत्र नीलेन तरुश्चोच्चिक्षिपे महान् । प्रहस्तोऽभिहतस्तेन बाणान्विससृजे बहून् ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: Thereupon Nala got enraged and a huge tree was lifted up by him; beaten with it, Prahasta discharged plentiful arrows.

Verse 108
सेहे कपी रथाऽश्वांश्च रिपोस्ततर्ह शाखिना । धरित्रीं मुसली तेये प्रहस्तश्चिखिदे न च ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: The monkey withstood (them) and destroyed the enemy's chariot and horses with the tree ; wielding a mace Prahasta descended to the ground and did not grieve .

Verse 109
संदुधुक्षे तयोः कोपः पस्फाये शस्त्र-लाघवम् । नुनोद शाखिनं नील आवव्रे मुसली तरुम् ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: The wrath of the two fared up; (their) quickness in hurling weapons waxed; Nila hurled a tree ; the mace-bearer (Prahasta) warded off that tree.

Verse 110
वियत्यानभ्रतुर्भूमौ मण्डलानि विचेरतुः । प्रदुद्रुवतुरन्योन्यं वीरौ शश्रमतुर्न च ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: The two warriors dived into the sky, moved in circles on the earth, assaulted each other and did not tire .
