Verse 91

संगच्छ पौंस्नि ! स्त्रैणं मां युवानं तरुणी शुभे ! । राघवः प्रोष्य-पापीयान्जहीहि तम-किं-चनम् ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: Oh beautiful young woman delightful to a young man ! do unite with me. The scion of the Raghus (Rama) (is) exiled and is very evil; abandon him, a penniless (wretch).

Verse 92

अश्नीत-पिबतीयन्ती प्रसिता स्मर-कर्मणि । वशे-कृत्य दश-ग्रीवं मोदस्व वर-मन्दिरे ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: Intent on the act of love and ordering about 'eat, drink' (i.e.) becoming the mistress of the house), having made Ravana subservient (to yourself ), stay in the best of mansions.

Verse 93

मा स्म भूर्ग्राहिणी भीरु ! गन्तुमुत्साहिनी भव ।उद्भासिनी च भूत्वा मे वक्षःसंमार्दिनी भव।" ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: Do not be obstinate, Oh timid one; be enthusiastic about going ; and after becoming highly brilliant, be the shambooer of my chest.'

Verse 94

तां प्रातिकूलिकीं मत्वा जिहीर्षुर्भीम-विग्रहः । बाहूपपीडमाश्लिष्य जगाहे द्यां निशा-चरः ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: Reckoning her as adverse (to him), the demon of a terrific body, desirous of kidnapping her, having clutched her in his arms so tight as to crush her, plunged up into the sky.

Verse 95

त्रस्यन्तीं तां समादाय यतो रात्रिं-चराऽऽलयम् । तूष्णीं-भूय भयादासांचक्रिरे मृगपक्षिणः ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: Having caught hold of her who was feeling frightened, he went to the homeland of the demons. Having become silent through terror, the birds and beasts stayed (put).

Verse 96

उच्चै रारस्यमानां तां कृपणां राम-लक्ष्मणौ । जटायुः प्राप पक्षीन्द्रः परुषं रावणं वदन् ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: (But) Jatayu, the Lord of Birds, approached that miserable (Sita) shouting out loudly for Rama and Laksmana, speaking harsh words to Ravana.

Verse 97

"द्विषन् ! वने-चराऽग्र्याणां त्वमादाय-चरो वने ।अग्रे-सरो जघन्यानां मा भूः पूर्व-सरो मम ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: Oh enemy, you that snatch and eat (the ascetics) and the best of forest-dwellers and are the foremost leader of the despicable ones, do not move ahead of me in the forest.

Verse 98

यशस्-कर-समाचारं ख्यातं भूवि दया-करम् । पितुर्वाक्य-करं रामं धिक्त्वां दुन्वन्तम-त्रपम् ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: ‘Fie upon your shameless self that harasses Rama of a behaviour that brings glory, well-known in the world, acting compassionately and carrying out (his) father's orders.

Verse 99

अहमन्त-करो नूनं ध्वान्तस्येव दिवा-करः । तव राक्षस ! रामस्य नेयः कर्म-करोपमः ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: Oh demon, I, like the Sun unto darkness, fit to be guided by Rama like an errand boy, am to bring about your end."

Verse 100

सतामरुष्-करं पक्षी वैर-कारं नराऽशिनम् । हन्तुं कलह-कारोऽसौ शब्द-कारः पपात खम् ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: Intending to kill (Ravana ), the man-eater, injurious to the good and bearer of enmity, the fighting and roaring bird zoomed into the sky .
