Verse 11
द्रुतं द्रुतं वह्नि-समागतं गतं महीमहीन-द्युति-रोचितं चितम् । समं समन्तादप-गोपुरं पुरं परैः परैरप्यनिराकृतं कृतम् ॥
Metre: वंशस्थम्
Karandikar: The city that stood on the earth, that shone with no mean lustre, that was clustered (with gold mansions), came into contact with fire and melted away quickly; never conquered by the highest (mightiest) enemies, the city was levelled down on all sides, with its outer gates crashed down.

Verse 12
नश्यन्ति ददर्श वृन्दानि कपीन्द्रः । हारीण्या-बलानां हारीण्या-बलानाम् ॥
Metre: उपजातिः
Karandikar: The best of monkeys saw groups of attractive women, wearing necklaces, vanishing away, unaccompanied by soldiers.

Verse 13
नारीणामपनुनुदुर्न देह-खेदान्नाऽऽरीणाऽमल-सलिला हिरण्य-वाप्यः । नाऽऽरीणामनल-परीत-पत्र-पुष्पान्नाऽरीणामभवदुपेत्य शर्म वृक्षान् ॥
Metre: प्रहर्षिणी
Karandikar: The golden wells whose clear water was dried up did not allay the physical agonies of the women. Nor did the enemy's women have any comfort on approaching the trees whose leaves and flowers were enveloped by fire.

Verse 14
अथ लुलित-पतत्रि-मालं रुग्णाऽसन-बाण-केशर-तमालम् । स वनं विविक्त-मालं सीतां द्रष्टुं जगामाऽलम् ॥
Karandikar: Thereafter, (yet) strong enough to see Sita, he went to the orchard where from the rows of birds had fled, the asana, bana, kepara and tamala trees were pounded down and the grounds were deserted.

Verse 15
घन-गिरीन्द्र-विलङ्घन-शालिना वन-गता वन-ज-द्युति-लोचना । जन-मता ददृशे जनकाऽऽत्मजा तरु-मृगेण तरु-स्थल-शायिनी ॥
Metre: द्रुतविलम्बितम्
Karandikar: By the monkey who was lustrous enough to cross lofty mountains, was seen, settled in the orchard, (Sita) the daughter of Janaka, whose eyes had the beauty of lotuses, who was respected by the people, and (who was) lying down on the ground underneath a tree ;

Verse 16
कान्ता महमाना दुःखं च्युत-भूषा । रामस्य वियुक्ता कान्ता सह-माना ॥
Metre: तनुमध्यमा
Karandikar: -(who was) the separated beloved (wife) of Rama, suffering grief and devoid of ornaments.

Verse 17
मितमवददुदारं तां हनूमान्मुदाऽरं रघु-वृषभ-सकाशं यामि देवि ! प्रकाशम् । तव विदित-विषादो दृष्ट-कृत्स्नाऽऽमिषादः श्रियमनिशमवन्तं पर्वतं माल्यवन्तम् ॥
Metre: मालिनी
Karandikar: To her, Hanuman spoke with joy, measured but very significant (words) : ‘‘Queen, quickly and openly shall I go near the mighty Raghu (Rama), towards the Malyavat mountain that maintains splendour day and night, (I) by whom your grief is known and all the demons are seen."

Verse 18
उदपतद्वियद-प्रगमः परै रुचितमुन्नति-मत्-पृथु-सत्त्व-वत् । रुचित-मुन्नति-मत्पृथु-सत्त्व-वत्प्रतिविधाय वणुर्भय-दं द्विषाम् ॥
Metre: द्रुतविलम्बितम्
Karandikar: Invincible by the enemies, Hanuman leapt into the radiant sky possessing great height and filled with huge animals, after having rendered his body delightful, bent in salutation, full of prowess and frightening to the enemies,

Verse 19
बभौ मरुत्वान्वि-कृतः स-मुद्रो बभौ मरुत्वान्विकृतः स-मुद्रः । बभौ मरुत्वान्विकृतः समुद्रो बभौ मरुत्वान्विकृतः स मुद्रः ॥
Metre: उपेन्द्रवज्रा
Karandikar: The Wind's son who had accomplished various tasks and who possessed the means of cognition (viz, the crest-jewel) shone ; the excited lord of the gods accompanied by divine damsels became radiant; (lashed) by the gales, the ocean that had crossed its boundaries, appeared grand; full of joy, the wind whose speed was reduced, seemed attractive.

Verse 20
अभियाता वरं तुङ्गं भू-भृतं रुचिरं पुरः । कर्कशं प्रथितं धाम स-सत्वं पुष्करेक्षणम् ॥
Karandikar: (Hanuman) will (soon) approach the excellent and lofty king, attractive in his frontal part, stern, the well-known resort (of the righteous), possessed of prowess and having lotus-like eyes.
