Verse 24
ततः कथाभिः समतीत्य दोषा- मारुह्य सैन्यैः सह पुष्पकं ते । सम्प्रस्थिता वेग-वशाद-गाधं प्रक्षोभयन्तः सलिलं पयोधेः ॥
Metre: उपजातिः
Karandikar: After having passed the night, they, along with army having mounted the Puspaka, took off, agitating the unfathomable waters of the ocean under the impact of (their) speed.

Verse 25
सेतुं महेन्द्रं मलयं स-विन्ध्यं स-माल्यवन्तं गिरिमृष्यमूकम् । स-दण्डकाऽरण्य-वातीं च पम्पां रामः प्रियायाः कथयन्जगाम ॥
Metre: उपजातिः
Karandikar: Rama travelled, explaining to Sita about the bridge (over the sea), the Mahendra (mountain), the Malaya along with the Vindhya, and the Rsyamuka mountain along with the Malyavan, and the Pampa lake together with the Dandaka forest :

Verse 26
एते ते मुनि-जन-मण्डिता दिगन्ताः शैलोऽयं लुलित-वनः स चित्रकूटः । गङ्गेयं सु-तनु-! विशाल-तीर-रम्या मैथिल्या रघु-तनयो दिशन्ननन्द ॥
Metre: प्रहर्षिणी
Karandikar: "These (are) the ends of the quarters adorned by the sage-folk; this (is) the Citrakuta mountain whose forests are shaken. Oh beautiful-bodied one, this (is) the Ganges delightful with its vast banks." Pointing (them) out to Sita, Rama rejoiced.

Verse 27
शिञ्जान-भ्रमर-कुलाऽऽकुलाऽग्र-पुष्पाः शीता-ऽम्भः-प्रविलय-संप्लवाऽभिलीनाः ।एते ते सु-तनु ! पुरी-जनोपभोग्या दृश्यन्ते नयन-मनोरमा वनाऽन्ताः ॥
Metre: प्रहर्षिणी
Karandikar: Oh Sita of charming form, here are seen the forest regions wherein the tips of the flowers are swarmed by throngs of humming bees, which are enveloped all over is the surge caused by the complete absorption of cool water, enjoyable for the people of the city (and) attractive to the eyes.

Verse 28
स्थानं नः पूर्व-जानामियमधिकमसौ प्रेयसी पूरयोध्या दूरादालोक्यते या हुत-विविध-हविः- प्रीणिताऽशेष-देवा । सोऽयं देशो रुदन्तं पुर-जनमखिलं यत्र हित्वा प्रयातौ आवां सीते ! वनाऽन्तं सह धृत-धृतिना लक्ष्मणेन क्षपाऽन्ते ॥
Metre: स्रग्धरा
Karandikar: This, the place of our ancestors, this very dear city of Ayodhya wherein all the Gods without a remnant are propitiated with various oblations offered (to them), is seen from afar ; this, Oh Sita, is the region from where having left all the citizen-folk weeping, we two , along with Laksmana who had sustained his courage, went at the end of the night to the sylvan region.

Verse 29
तूर्याणामथ निःस्वनेन सकलं लोकं समापूरयन्विक्रान्तैः करिणां गिरीन्द्र-सदृशां क्ष्मां कम्पयन्सर्वतः । साऽऽनन्दाऽश्रु-विलोचनः प्रकृतिभिः सार्धं सहाऽन्तः पुरः सम्प्राप्तो भरतः स-मारुतिरलं नम्रः समं मातृभिः ॥
Metre: शार्दूलविक्रीडितम्
Karandikar: Thereafter, pervading the whole world with the loud blare of the trumpet, causing the earth to quake on all sides by the strides of the monkeys, (by Rama) was reached Bharata along with the mothers accompanied by the ladies of the harem, with the subjects and in the company of Maruti, Bharata whose eyes bore tears of joy and who was amply bowed down (in salutation).

Verse 30
अथ स-सम्भ्रम-पौर-जनाऽऽवृतो भरत-पाणि-धृतोज्ज्वल-चामरः । गुरु-जन-द्विज-बन्द्यभिनन्दितः प्रविशति स्म पुरं रघु-नन्दनः ॥
Metre: द्रुतविलम्बितम्
Karandikar: Now, surrounded by the bustling citizen-folk (and) congratulated by the elderly persons, brahmins and bards, Rama over whom a chowrie was held in Bharata's hand, entered the city.

Verse 31
प्रविधाय धृतिं परां जनानां युव-राजं भरतं ततोऽभिषिच्य । जघटे तुरगाऽध्वरेण यष्टुं कृत-सम्भार-विधिः पतिः प्रजानाम् ॥
Metre: औपच्छन्दसिक
Karandikar: Having inspired the highest contentment among the people, then, having crowned Bharata to the Crown-Prince's office, the Lord of the subjects who had made arrangements for the (necessary) materials, busied himself for performing the Horse-sacrifice.

Verse 32
इदमधिगत-मुक्ति-मार्ग-चित्रं विवदिषतां वदतां च सन्-निबन्धात् । जनयति विजयं सदा जनानां युधि सुसमाहितमैश्वरं यथाऽस्त्रम् ॥
Metre: पुष्पिताग्रा
Karandikar: Striking by (its) ways of expression and well embellished, (when) studied, this (epic) by means of its excellent composition always produces victory for the discoursing and

Verse 33
दीप-तुल्यः प्रबन्धोऽयं शब्द-लक्षण-चक्षुषाम् । हस्ताऽमर्ष इवाऽन्धानां भवेद्व्याकरणादृते ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: This composition is comparable to a lamp for those who possess the eyes (in the form) of grammar ; without grammar it may be like the touch of the hand of the blind.
