Verse 4
चन्दन-द्रुम-संच्छन्ना निराकृत-हिम-श्रथाः । दर्शितारस्त्वया ताश्च मलयोपत्यकाः शुभाः ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: "And by you will be beheld those beautiful lowlands of the Malaya (mountain), that are veiled under sandal trees and have sighted the moon.

Verse 5
प्रतन्व्यः कोमला विन्ध्ये सहितारः स्यदं न ते । लताः स्तबक-शालिन्यो मधुलेहि-कुलाऽऽकुलाः ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: "On the Vindhya (mountain) the very slender and delicate creepers, shining with flower bunches and crowded with throngs of bees, will not bear your speed.

Verse 6
द्रष्टासि प्रीति-मानारात्सखिभिः सह सेविताम् । स-पक्षपातं किष्किन्धां पूर्व-क्रीडां स्मरन्मुहुः ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: Repeatedly remembering (your) former sports, you, who are full of delight, will observe lovingly, from near , Kiskindha.

Verse 7
त्वया सन्दर्शितारौ ते माल्यवद्-दण्डका-वने ।उपद्रुतश्चिरं द्वन्द्वैर्ययोः क्लिशितवानहम् ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: By you will be seen , those two, the Malyavan (mountain) and the Dandaka forest where, overpowered by the pairs (of opposites, viz., pleasure and pain etc.), I suffered pangs for long.

Verse 8
आप्तारौ भवता रम्यावाश्रमौ हरिणाऽऽकुलौ । पुण्योदक-द्विजाऽऽकीर्णौ सुतीक्ष्ण-शरभङ्गयोः ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: "By you will be reached the two charming hermitages, of Sutikspa and Sarabhaiga--crowded with deer and full of holy water and brahmins.

Verse 9
अतिक्रान्ता त्वया रम्यं दुःखमत्रेस्तपो-वनम् । पवित्र-चित्रकूटेऽद्रौ त्वं स्थातासि कुतूहलात् ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: "By you, the penancegrove of Atri shall be by-passed sorrowfully, (but) you will, out of curiosity, halt on the sacred Citrakuta mountain."

Verse 10
ततः परं भरद्वाजो भवता दर्शिता मुनिः । द्रष्टारश्च जनाः पुन्या यामुनाऽम्बुक्षतांऽहसः ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: "Thereafter will be seen by you the sage Bharadwaja and you will be perceived (also ) by the holy people whose sins are destroyed by the waters of river Yamuna.

Verse 11
स्यन्त्वा स्यन्त्वा दिवः शम्भोर्- मूर्ध्नि स्कन्त्वा भुवं गताम् । गाहितासेऽथ पुण्यस्य गङ्गां मूर्तिमिव द्रुताम् ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: "You will then be diving into the Ganges, like a melted image of righteousness that had come down to the earth after flowing and flowing in the heaven and jumped down on the head of Siva.

Verse 12
तमसाया महा-नील-पाषाण-सदृश-त्विषः । वनाऽन्तात्बहु मन्तासे नागराऽऽक्रीड-शाखिनः ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: ‘‘You will very much admire, along river Tamasa, the forest regions whose lustre is similar to huge sapphire rocks and which bear witness to the sports of the citizens.

Verse 13
नगर-स्त्री-स्तन-न्यस्त-धौत-कुङ्कुम-पिञ्जराम् । विलोक्य सरयूं रम्यां गन्ताऽयोध्या त्वया पुरी ॥
Metre: अनुष्टुप्
Karandikar: After having seen the attractive Sarayu river, yellowish-red with the saffron applied to and then washed away from the breasts of the ladies of the city, the city of Ayodhya will be reached by you.
