Verse 111

समीरयांचकाराऽथ राक्षसस्य कपिः शिलाम् । क्षतस्तया ममाराऽसावाशिश्राय च भू-तलम् ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: Thereafter, the monkey hurled a boulder at the demon; injured by it, he died and took to the ground.

Verse 112

तुतुषुर्वानराः सर्वे नेशुश्चित्रा निशा-चराः । जेरुराशा दशास्यस्य सैन्यं नीलं नुनाव च ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: All the monkeys were pleased ; the demons of various types perished; Ravana's hopes withered and the army applauded Nila.

Verse 113

यदा न फेलुः क्षणदा-चराणां मनोरथा राम-बलाऽभियोगे । लङ्कां तदा भेजुरुदीर्ण-दैन्या व्याचख्युरुच्चैश्च हतं प्रहस्तम् ॥

Metre: उपजातिः

Karandikar: When the desires of the demons in the battle with Rama's army did not fructify, then they took to Lanka and loudly announced (to Ravana) the slain Prahasta.
