Verse 131

यत्स्व-धर्मम-धर्मं त्वं दुर्-बलं प्रत्यपद्यथाः । रिपौ रामे च निः-शङ्को नैतत्क्षेमंकरं चिरम् ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: The wicked path which you declared as your way of life is a weak (argument) and your statement that (you are) dauntless towards the enemy Rama-this is not going to be the cause of (your) well-being for long.

Verse 132

अन्वयाऽऽदि-विभिन्नानां यथा सख्यमनीप्सितम् । नैषीर्विरोधमप्येवं सार्धं पुरुष-वानरैः ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: Just as friendship with those that are distinct in race and other things is not desired, so also do not desire such an enmity with men and monkeys.

Verse 133

विराधं तपसां विघ्नं जघान विजितो यदि । वरो धनुर्-भृतां रामः स कथं न विवक्षितः ? ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: If he, (Rama), (though) vanquished, killed Viradha, an impediment to austerities, how may he not be spoken of (famous) as the supermost among bowmen ?

Verse 134

प्रणश्यन्नपि नाऽशक्नोदत्येतुं बाण-गोचरम् । त्वयैवोक्तं महा-मायो मारीचो राम-हस्तिनः ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: You have yourself stated that though trying to vanish, Marica whose magic prowess was great was not able to fly out of the reach of the arrow of the elephant-like Rama.

Verse 135

अन्याऽऽसक्तस्य यद्वीर्यं न त्वं स्मरसि वालिनः । मूर्च्छा-वान्नमतः संध्यां ध्रुवं तद्बाहु-पीडितः ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: Since you do not remember the valour of Vali engaged in something else, you are definitely under a swoon as (you had once been) pressed under the arm of (Vali), while he was performing sandhya worship.

Verse 136

अ-सद्-बन्धु-विधोपज्ञं विमुञ्च बलि-विग्रहम् । सीतामर्पय नन्तव्ये कोश-दण्डाऽऽत्म-भूमिभिः।" ॥

Metre: अनुष्टुप्

Karandikar: Give up (this) enmity with the mighty which had its commencement in the slaying of your evil brothers. Give back Sita along with your treasury, royal staff, self and the region to him who is worthy of being prostrated (by you)."

Verse 137

स्फुट-परुषम-सह्यमित्थमुच्चैः सदसि मरुत्-तनयेन भाष्यमाणः । परिजनमभितो विलोक्य दाहं दश-वदनः प्रदिदेश वानरस्य ॥

Metre: पुष्पिताग्रा

Karandikar: Being loudly addressed, in the assembly, such evidently harsh and unbearable (words) by the son of the Wind, Ravapa, having looked at his attendants on both sides, peremptorily ordered the burning of the monkey.
