Verse 1
चारु-समीरण-रमणे हरिण-कलङ्क-किरणाऽऽवली-स-विलासा ।आबद्ध-राम-मोहा वेला-मूले विभावरी परिहीणा ॥
Karandikar: The night that was full of grace on account of rows of moonrays and brought unconsciousness to Rama, ended on the edge of the seashore which was delightful with pleasurable breezes.

Verse 2
बद्धो वासर-सङ्गे भीमो रामेण लवण-सलिलाऽऽवासे । सहसा संरम्भ-रसो दूराऽऽरूढ-रवि-मण्डल-समो लोले ॥
Metre: आर्यागीति
Karandikar: At the touch (dawn) of the day, a terrific emotion of wrath, resembling the orb of the sun risen far up, was suddenly fixed by Rama on the ever-moving reservoir of saline waters.

Verse 3
गाढ-गुरु-पुङ्ख-पीडा- स-धूम-सलिलाऽरि-संभव-महा-बाणे ।आरुढा संदेहं रामे स-मही-धार मही स-फणि-सभा ॥
Karandikar: Towards Rama who held a huge arrow, in which was produced fire with smoke by the pressing of its firm and heavy tip, the earth, along with the mountains and the assembly of serpents, entertained suspicion.

Verse 4
घोर-जल-दन्ति-संकुल- मट्ट-महापङ्क-काहल-जलाऽऽवासम् ।आरीणं लवण-जलं समिद्ध-फल-बाण-विद्धि-घोर-फणि-वरम् ॥
Metre: आर्यागीति
Karandikar: The saline water which swarmed with dreadful water elephants, wherein the marine animals were distressed on account of the tremendous mud that was dried up, and terrific mighty serpents were injured by the arrow with a filaming edge, was dried up all around .

Verse 5
स-भयं परिहरमाणो महाऽहि-संचार-भासुरं सलिल-गणम् ।आरूढो लवण-जलो जल-तीरं हरि-बलाऽऽगम-विलोल-गुहम् ॥
Metre: आर्यागीति
Karandikar: Fearfully avoiding the concourse of water radiant with the movements of huge serpents, the ocean ascended the water-shore whose recesses were astir on account of the advent of the monkey troops;

Verse 6
चञ्चल-तरु-हरिण-गणं बहु-कुसुमाऽऽबन्ध-बद्ध-रामाऽऽवासम् । हरि-पल्लव-तरु-जालं तुङ्गोरु-समिद्ध-तरु-वर-हिम-च्छायम् ॥
Metre: आर्यागीति
Karandikar: -on which hosts of monkeys were bustling about, wherein Rama's residence was arranged under intertwined trees with plentiful flowers, which had a network of trees with green sprouts (and) which bore cool shadow on account of the tall, massive and radiant trees.

Verse 7
वर-वारनं सलिल-भरेण गिरि-मही-मण्डल-संवर-वारणम् । वसुधार्यं तुङ्ग-तरङ्ग-सङ्ग-परिहीण-लोल-वसुधा-रयम् ॥
Metre: उपजातिः
Karandikar: - which had excellent elephants, which checked the sheet of mountains and the expanse of earth with the food of its waters, which bore riches and hindered the speed of the rotating earth by the onslaught of its lofty billows.

Verse 8
प्रणिपत्य ततो वचनं जगाद हितमायतो पतिर्वारीणाम् । गङ्गाऽवलम्बि-बाहू रामं बहलोरु-हरि-तमाल-च्छायम् ॥
Metre: आर्यागीति
Karandikar: Thereafter, the lord of waters , who rested his arms on the Ganges, spoke words beneficial for the future to Rama whose complexion was like that of a massive and wide hari tamala tree, after having bowed down to him :

Verse 9
"तुङ्गा गिरि-वर-देहा अ-गमं सलिलं समीरणो रस-हारी ।अ-हिमो रवि-किरण-गणो माया संसार-कारणं ते परमा ॥
Metre: आर्यागीति
Karandikar: "The lofty forms of huge mountains, the impassable water, the wind that sucks up juice (moisture) and the hot host of sunrays-your highest Mayव is the cause of (all this) worldly existence .

Verse 10
आयास-संभवारुण ! संहर संहार-हिम-हर-सम-च्छायम् । बाणं वारि-समूहं संगच्छ पुराण-चारु-देहाऽऽवासम् ॥
Metre: आर्यागीति
Karandikar: Oh (Rama), red with the onset of anger, withdraw the arrow whose lustre resembles the Sun (Fire) of destruction (of the world) (and) join the sea, the abode of your ancient beautiful body.
