Chapter 7.164 - Verse 101

Sanskrit Text

गाहमानस्य ते सेनां मालवस्येन्द्रवर्मणः अश्वत्थामेति विख्यातो गजः शक्रगजोपमः

English Translation

Putting forth my prowess in battle, I immediately slew a mighty elephant resembling that of Shakra, belonging to Indravarman, the Chief of the Malavas who were standing in your army. I then went to Drona and told him, 'Ashvatthaman has been slain, O Brahman; desist from fighting.'
