मृदुर्हि
राजा
सततं
लङ्घ्यो
भवति
सर्वशः
।
तीक्ष्णाच्चोद्विजते
लोकस्तस्मादुभयमाचर
॥
English Translation
If the king becomes mild, everybody disobey him. On the other hand, if he becomes fierce his subjects always fear him. Therefore, do you conduct yourself in both the ways.
