तथैव
तपसोपेताः
स्वाध्यायाभ्यसने
रताः
।
दातारो
यज्ञशीलाश्च
न
तरन्ति
जरान्तकौ
॥
English Translation
Likewise, persons endued with ascetic merit, devoted to study of the Vedas, practising charity and frequently celebrating sacrifices. cannot escape the hands of decrepitude and death.
