सुखदुःखेषु
नृणां
ब्रह्मविदां
वर
।
इह
वा
कृतमन्वेति
परदेहेऽथ
वा
पुनः
॥
English Translation
And O the best of those conversant with the Supreme Being, why does man become subject to pleasure or pain? Is it in this world or in another existence that he reaps the fruits of his acts?
