ततोऽहं
वचनात्तस्य
गिरिमारुह्य
शैशिरम्
।
तपोऽतप्यं
महाराज
मासं
मूलफलाशनः
॥
English Translation
Then, following his instructions I ascended the mountain Saisira (Himalayas) and began to practice asceticism, living on fruits and roots in the (first) month.
