Chapter 13.17 - Verse 76

Sanskrit Text

दम्भो ह्यदम्भो वैदम्भो वश्यो वश्यकरः कविः लोककर्ता पशुपतिर्महाकर्ता महौषधिः

English Translation

You are he who punishes his enemies; you are he whom none can punish; you are he who is sincere in all his religious acts and observances, you are he who becomes obedient to those who are devoted to you; you are he who can subdue others; you are he who foments quarrels among the gods and the Asuras; you are he who has created the fourteen worlds; you are the protector and cherisher of all Beings beginning from Brahman and ending with the lowest forms of vegetable life; you are the Creator of even the five principal elements, you are he who never enjoys anything.
