शोककाले
शुचो
मा
त्वं
हर्षकाले
च
मा
हृषः
।
अतीतानागते
हित्वा
प्रत्युत्पन्नेन
वर्तय
॥
English Translation
When the hour of sorrow comes, do not give way to it. Likewise, when the hour of joy comes, do not rejoice. Not thinking of both the past and the future, live contentedly with the present.
