पादैः
सलिलपानं
च
व्याधीनामपि
दर्शनम्
।
व्याधिप्रतिक्रियत्वाच्च
विद्यते
रसनं
द्रुमे
॥
English Translation
They draw water by their roots. They catch all sorts of diseases. Those diseases again are cured by various operations. From this it is clear that trees have perception of taste.
