भीतवत्संविधातव्यं
यावद्भयमनागतम्
।
आगतं
तु
भयं
दृष्ट्वा
प्रहर्तव्यमभीतवत्
॥
English Translation
As long as the cause of fear does not actually arrive, the king should make all his arrangements like a person filled with fear. When, however, the cause of fear arrives, he should smite fearlessly.
